was " which colors should we be identified with?"
; "what will be my color scheme?". This indeed took us some time to answer
because we don't just want to use a color that will make the site beautiful but
that will define the purpose of the site. After some time we then came up with
the ultimate answer to this questions. we first found black, then the green and
later the lime. Well, to have chosen these colors we know we need to make some
explanation to my audiences on what they represent |
Black:
Black means obscurity and bad state of being. That is the current state of
Agriculture in some of the African countries. This is very visible as revealed
by statistics collated from the UN that in Zimbabwe alone about 6,000,000 people
needs emergency food supply.

Green
: This is the most dominant color; Represents agriculture/plant life, which is
what we are trying to revolve via the adoption of Biotechnology. Biotechnology
centers it’s area of operation on agriculture and as such the main target is the
AGRICULTURE (green).

Lime
: Lime is a combination of yellow and green. Yellow means bright and healthy.
Lime will be the state of World's [and consequently the Africans'] Agriculture
(green) if biotechnology (yellow) is applied.

| The lime is not too intensified
because of the much criticisms against GMOs, especially in some part of Africa.
Not until everyone embrace biotechnology the lime might not be intensified. |

| The next concept we
applied on this site, was making it a multilingual one, because we knew there are
other youths or scientist (both in Africa and in diaspora) who don't understand much English, but they do
apprehend French or Portuguese well. That was the primary thing that intrigued
us to make a multilingual site, so that no matter what, they can also benefit
from the rich information on the site. |

| Lastly the news box on the
site; some people visit this site just for the purpose of reading the
biotechnology news in the boxes on each page, and we found out it was
really exciting since when they come back they always find new things so that
keep on logging to the site. So we try as much as we can to keep the news segment
always updated so that more and more people will come and more people will
benefit from it. |
